We had a room overlooking the river with lots of room to sit and enjoy the scenery.

The hotel was disappointing and felt had been over-rated. The owners are trying to renovate it but whilst people are staying at the hotel. It needs shutting, re-furbishing and then opening again. The breakfast room is very dark with chairs piled up in the corner. Window boxes are empty with dead plants in. When we arrived, we weren't sure it was actually open. It's a lovely location and the staff are working hard but it just needs a lot or work doing on it and that is hard whilst it is obviously still very busy.

    The buffet breakfast was excellent!

The lodge is a bit old, but clean and comfortable.

    Breakfast buffet was very good

Very run down and outdated. Odor in room, ac would not control set temperature

The owners were very nice and very accommodating. They included a hot breakfast to all guests as part of the daily rate. The beds were comfortable and the linens were new. The lobby was newly decorated and inviting. There was even a basket of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby upon our arrival.

Unfortunately our room was very run down, the shower walls were cracked and ceiling and floors were stained from years of travelers. We moved a chair to access an electrical outlet only to be greeted with huge spider webs. Spider webs, complete with spiders, were large and visually obvious on the wall pictures, also behind the bathroom door. There was a tv but no remote. There was a hot tub advertised but they keep it covered. When we removed the cover it was stained brown and yellow (the tub was white). Our family was not comfortable, in fact we were grossed out. We didnt even unpack our suitcase for fear of bringing bugs home with us. If you just want a cheap place to lay your head then Northern Lights is your place, if your looking for cleanliness with bells and whistles then go somewhere else.

I liked the room it was cosy and comfortable and I like the river running at the end of the garden which was right outside our door. I found the owners very friendly and helpful and the breakfast in the mornings was very good with plenty of choice and plenty to eat. The indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi were exellent after a day's hiking in the forest. There was and outdoor pool as well but was closed as it was september when we were there. We had a really good time staying in the Northern Lights Lodge and although we were there for just two nights I would have no problem staying there for a week if need be.

I just found it a bit far from the town having to drive in for a meal in the evening, it would have been more relaxing if we did'nt need to drive.

It has a great location. Easy walk to bike path and hiking trails/ski mountain are close too. Close to Stowe village too. Your outdoor pool was nice. The indoor pool nice too. I like the creek in the back. Very nice grounds.

The bed was a little too hard for me. Stayed in #69. Hopefully you do well enough to upgrade the jacuzzi. It didn't offer much to heal my aching body after days workout.

The hot breakfast was great each morning. The service was very good and even though it rained most of the time I loved the indoor pool and swam every day.

It is not a new lodge but the owners are updating and renewing it.

Our hosts were very nice. The hotel and room are simple but very clean and quiet. Breakfast was good. The indoor pool and spa were enjoyable. For the price paid, the Northern Lights Lodge is a deal. I would go again anytime.

In an area of very high priced accomodations, this lodge, although a bit shop worn here and there, was clean with very good amenities. We really enjoyed our stay and the friendly staff.

The same compaint we always have. Please get some good pillows.

It was a very nice hotel. The room is bigger than we thought with 2 king size beds. The toilet is quite not good as the sink is broken but overall I'm very pleased with the hotel. The location and breakfast is great and the guy that run the hotel is very nice. He helped us a lot when we had a problem.

Garden hose available for car washing.

Limited parking on the backside of the facility, so cabin parking conflicts with parking for guests in the main bldg. Exterior and hallway doors in poor repair, making noise that disturbs guests. Guest room immediately adjacent to the Laundry Room, machins noises late into the night and slamming doors. Owner seemed insincere about objections / complaints and offered little if anything as an incentive to change minds about returning. Check in time of 3 pm was too late for the the 4 pm show field events Will not consider returning since there are cleaner, better value locations in the vicinity

Great value. Small rooms but clean and affordable. The free breakfast was wonderful. The owners were great host and very helpful.
